chick feeders

today is the day i invented and made two new chick feeders. they tend to dig with their feet and spread all the feed around mixing it with their excrement. it is nice to be able to avoid this by not allowing them to scratch in the feed...

 here you can see the chick's head fits through the wires but it cannot get in

here is a version for smaller chicks where only their heads can fit through. two small icecream trays glued together with holes cut in. it is going to be used for the next batch of chicks.
